IMPORTANT STEPS FOR NEW STUDENTS - AN ENROLLMENT CHECKLIST
MAUI COMMUNITY COLLEGE HAS AN OPEN ENROLLENMT POLICY AND ACCEPTS ALL ADULTS 17 YEARS AND OLDER WITHOUT REQUIRING A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR GED. MANY STUDENTS REQUIRE FINANCIAL AID TO FUND THEIR PROGRAMS. THE FEDERAL FINANCIAL AID PROGRAM DOES REQIRE A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA, GED, OR ACCETABLE SCORES ON AN ABILITY TO BENIFIT TEST. THERE ARE SEVERAL STEPS IN ENROLLING IN CLASSES AT MCC. | ADMISSION TO THE COLLEGE |

- Complete the University of Hawai'i Common Application paper form and submit it to the admissions office at the Ho'okipa Building (984-3267). An on-line application is available at http://mauicc.hawaii.edu/admissions/info.html.
- Submit a negative TB test result (current within the year) and proof of Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR) immunizations. (MMR is waived for those born before 1958 and for high school graduates.

- Take English and Math placement test if the courses you want to enroll in require placement test results. All English and math courses require placement test recommendations or completion of prior college courses. Many other classes require placement testing (call 984-3240 for times)
- ONLY if you have attended college previously: Request transcripts from your previous colleges(s) to sent DIRECTLY to Admissions Office, Maui Community College 310 Ka'ahumanu Avenue, Kahului, HI 96732
- ONLY if you need Financial Aid to help you pay for college expenses: Call the Educational Opportunity Center with questions and/or for assistance with financial and scholarship searches (984-9673).

SEE AN ACADEMIC COUNSELOR Call 984-3306 : Don't forget to have your math and English placement test scores and be prepared to explore:
- A course of study (major), classes you plan to enroll in, if enrollment will be full or part time, and if you plan to continue on to earn a 4-year degree.
